Marco Melgar (Lima, 1976). He studied cinematography at The University of Lima and drama at Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP). He has directed short films, documentaries and theatre plays. In 2003, he won the 1.st Festival of APFACOM for “Spiral Time”, and in 2006 the 3.rd Competition of audiovisual PUCP for “Aura”. In 2013, he received a scholarship from CINESCOPE. In 2014, he directed and produced "Strange Man", the first chapter of the short film serial "Urban Legends" and he was accredited to participate in the 6th edition of Ventana Sur – Argentina, the Latin American audiovisual content market, created by the INCAA and the Marché du Film / Cannes Film Festival. In 2015, his first project for feature film “Jaguar Woman” has been selected to participate in the coproduction forum of The 11th Guadalajara Film Festival - México.
